Signature Ceremony
1. Firstly, ringing me to see if I am available on your day. If so, then…
2. Meeting One: We meet for a obligation-free, 1 hour consultation in my Studio Office (or can be via Skype or FaceTime), whereby I explain all of the legal requirements. This is the perfect time to get to know me (and vice versa) because you need to know that I am the right person who will fit into the picture you have imagined for your day. This is where I will show you my couples' resource booklet with extensive ideas, hints and tips for creating your ceremony that I will give to you upon booking my services. This is done when deposit is paid, I will email you a questionnaire that is completed by each of you to be brought along to meeting two.
3. Meeting Two: At this meeting, you will be asked to bring along all of the original documentation required (Current original Passport OR Birth Certificate and drivers licence) to have your Notice Of Intended Marriage(NOIM) signed and witnessed by me. However, if you are unable to meet me in person, the information will be emailed to you advising where the NOIM can be witnessed and what needs to be forwarded to me and by when, ensuring that all legal aspects are adhered to. This will need to be no more than 18 months away from your marriage date and no less than one calendar month before your marriage. Then by using the completed questionnaires and our face to face interview is what I use to co-create your unique Signature Ceremony. From this point, I will be emailing you back and forward (as many times as it takes) for you to make any changes and for your approval to the draft Ceremony co-created. This is when your honestly and prompt replies will enable this process to be done quite quickly and easily, leaving you to sign off on your Signature Ceremony.
4. Meeting Three: Your Signature Ceremony will be approved and signed off ready for your wedding day. Ideally, this will be done a month prior to your wedding day. Preparation is not the key to success, it will help you to be in control and stay calm to attend to all of the last minute details in that month leading up to your day. It is actually a great time to think with clarity because even if you may hear another line or quote or want someone or something to be added to the ceremony already created any small changes can easily be added later. Then a date will be set aside in the week prior to your marriage so that the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage can be signed.
5. Declaration Of No Impediment to Marriage: As stated, this legal declaration is signed and witnessed within the week prior to your marriage. Also the full names of the witnesses are noted.
6. The Rehearsal: Usually takes place at the same time of day at the venue where the wedding will take place. This ensures we know how the sun will be placed and also allows a ‘Plan B’ to be put in place (in case of inclement weather). Choreography of the Ceremony is discussed. My PA system will be brought along so as to familiarise yourself with its use for the Ring Exchange and saying your Vows. (Your own personal Vows can be added to your Ceremony)
7. After the Ceremony, your marriage will be registered with the Department of Birth, Deaths and Marriages in the state you are married within 14 days. This is when you can apply for your Official Certificate of Marriage or add $62.00 so I can apply for you.
You have my guarantee that my services will include:
